About Us

Cygnet provides IT support and services in and around the South London areas currently mainly for schools but is increasingly successful in delivering great service to customers from both the voluntary and business sectors.

Working closely with our school customers we aim to support you by maximising the integration of every aspect of IT into all areas of your business.  This is achieved either through increasing the use of IT within your school to improve pupil standards or by providing IT systems your staff are confident with enabling everyone to focus on delivering your business. We are confident we have the range of skills and therefore can deliver the service for you.

Cygnet is a non-profit, 'Community Interest Company' meaning we seek to re-invest continually in the company either through training of our staff or by ensuring we have the infrastructure and equipment to underpin the highest level of IT service by making it is fit for purpose, future-proof and value for money.

Cygnet IT Supports all of the core area of SIMS for Primary, Secondary and Special schools.

With our flexible approach we can provide you a focused support service ranging from unlimited telephone and remote support through to regular, scheduled on-site attendance from a designated engineer.

In providing a centralised IT support service we are effectively a 'one stop shop', removing the need for sourcing your own equipment, managing warranties or maintaining your own IT support staff with all the training, recruitment and retention costs.

Specialist Services for Schools

Cygnet's SIMS and Teaching & Learning services are specifically designed to support schools. We provide a Capita accredited SIMS support service and include access to our locally hosted SIMS training courses with all our SIMS support offerings. Our staff receive and run regular training to ensure we have the most up to date knowledge and skills to help you get the most from your SIMS. Primary, Secondary or Special schools we know and support all the SIMS modules.

Our Teaching and Learning support service can help you understand the Computing Curriculum and enable you to assess how your schools is performing against both other schools and the curriculum's various criteria. Providing dedicated support for your teachers, IT Co-ordinators or Senior Leadership teams the service will tailor support and consultancy sessions to ensure you get the most from having a dedicated Computing specialist on-hand.

With a long history working with schools we appreciate the unique support challenges faced within education, teachers unavailable for call backs when delivering lessons, lesson disruption caused by IT issues, offices busy dealing with students and parents during the school mornings and the high pressure periods cause by academic years and school holidays. Our support works with you to help ensure you get the best service possible.

For added peace of mind every member of our staff has as regularly renewed enhanced DBS check and undergoes a range of employment clearances before starting.
